About Our Project

Migration is one of the biggest issue of recent times as it may cause a lot of challenges both for migrants and the hosting countries. Currently, we see that a lot of economical and logistic arrangements as well as social integration projects are made by governments. Yet it is still not enough to reach every individual. In most cases, even in big cities, young refugees & migrants don’t have chance to use their whole potential in order to create a business, to start a social movement or at least to join one, they don’t have the means of reaching the information about opportunities. According to EU Commission's "Refugee Crisis report in Turkey", Turkey is holding over 3.5 million refugees making Turkey the host country with the largest refugee population in the world and is a country that refugee problem is a burning issue.

So we would like to take part in finding solutions and sharing good practices internatially in order to facilitate the integration process of refugees and immigrants, to build a bridge between host countries’ youth and young refugees and immigrants, create a common understanding and finally to give them a chance to use their potentials in many ways.

Our Project, formed under coordinatorship of Dokuz Eylül University with five partner organisations, has been found appropriate and funded by Erasmus+ programme.

How have we done this? Along with the opportunities given by Erasmus+ program; our local logistic and human sources and experience of our partner organizations who work in the same field eased the way to our goals. We have collaborated with trainers, youth workers, mentors and non-governmental organisations and implemented transnational meetings, multiplier events and teaching training activities. Thus, significant amount of refugee youth and hosting country youth had chance to communicate and discuss the issues. We have mosty used non-formal methods during the majority of activities, in particular we placed importance on gamification methods.
